Name:
Whitetail
Gender
Female
Age
Young adult. About 25 in cat-years.
Clan
ShadowClan
History
Whitetail has a long history. Born to Briarfeather, the EarthClan medicine cat, and Icetint, a ThunderClan warrior, she lived the first few moons in EarthClan with her brother, Fallenpaw. She had a faux mother, and it was only when she was an apprentice that Briarfeather confessed her sin to Fawnpaw and Fallenpaw. Fallenpaw took it hard, but Fawnpaw took it in stride. A mother was a mother, after all. What did Clan Rules have to do with love?
About a moon later, tragedy struck. A badger attacked outside of camp with Briarfeather and her two kits. Being a good cat, Briarfeather threw herself in front of her kits, taking most of the blow from the badger. She died almost immediately, but Fawnpaw was traumatized. Fallenpaw was completely unscathed, but Fawnpaw received a long scratch on her face from her upper-right part down to her left jaw. Together, Fallenpaw and Fawnpaw used adrenaline and rage to kill the badger, but Fawnpaw's happy-go-lucky way of life was destroyed. She ran away, dying her pelt black with deathberry juice and learning how to be alone.
Eventually, she moved onto a Clan with a darker past than she could have ever dreamed. MoonClan. She took up the name Nightpaw and spent a year with MoonClan, learning fatal moves and how to stifle all emotion. She was doing relatively well... until Fallenpaw committed suicide. Nightpaw was on patrol, when she saw Fallenpaw jump off a very high cliff. His posture before he leaped looked as if he'd given up. Had Nightpaw killed him by leaving EarthClan? She abandoned her post and went over to inspect Fallenpaw's dead body. As the MoonClan post had never seen her leave, Nightpaw was free to tuck Fallenpaw's paws under his head, and bring some juniper over as a sort of mourning for herself and herself alone. His back was broken in two; there would be no bringing him back without him being severely disabled. He would never become a warrior, and Nightpaw couldn't imagine her brother as a medicine cat. He would stay dead. Under the night sky, she looked up at the stars. After her mother's death and the appearance of a scar that would never go away, she stopped believing in StarClan. But now, looking up at Silverpelt, she could see a star she had never seen before, and she spent quite a lot of time in MoonClan looking at the sky.
Nightpaw was no longer. Fawnpaw was back, though she retained some of Nightpaw's cynicism and hatred for a lot of things, and, of course, the tactics she had learned.
She spent another few moons as a loner, scouting other Clans to see where she could join. She avoided ShadowClan at first, thinking it would be like MoonClan in its ruthlessness and anger. However, when she had no other options on to stay a loner or join ShadowClan, she noticed that the only thing dark about these cats was that they lived under the shadow of a million trees. Fawnpaw joined, and left her dark past behind her. When she was in ShadowClan for a week, she noticed that the spots on her back had faded away, either because of the deathberry juices that she had covered her for over a year, or because of age. When it was time for her warrior ceremony, she was renamed "Whitetail" and, for the first time in a long time, had finally found herself home.
Personality
Whitetail has sort of a mixed perception of life in general. She is by no means air-headed and bubbly as she was when she was Fawnkit. She is neither hateful and vengeful as Nightpaw was. She's somewhere in the middle, a cynical she-cat who's definitely not stupid in the ways of the world. She's good with kits, but hasn't found a mate yet. Until she helps bring more future warriors to ShadowClan, she'll continue to be the best, most loyal ShadowClan cat there has ever been.
Appearance
Whitetail was originally Fawnkit for a reason. She has sleek brown fur, really long legs which have white "stockings" that start from the second half of her legs, a long tail that's half-white, and very, very faded spots on the lower part of her pelt. You'd seriously have to look to see them. Seriously. SRSLY GUIZE. GUIZE SRSLY.
